This could quite possibly be Australia's future Olympic Contender!!!

By far the most conflicted decision I've ever had to make in this industry. It would not surprise me if this horse attracts an overseas buyer but I would rather see this sort of talent remain in Australia. Heston is that horse that everyone dreams about. He is astonishingly talented and eye-catching - he receives compliments and "I remember your horse" everywhere he goes. At just 7 years of age he is already well rehearsed in all Advanced Level movements. In 2021, he made his ADV EA debut start at Werribee Park and came home with Champion on 68.1% with a fair field and plenty of room for improvement. Several more ADV competitions under his belt since then, scores regularly appearing at 65% +.

Heston is by the legendary De Niro (IFS / DEC) who really needs no introduction. He is considered to be one of the world's leading dressage sires, with over 100 licensed sons. He reigned as not only a sire but a performance horse himself; his talent obvious after learning a line of one time changes in a week! De Niro himself was a Grand Prix horse and the sire of many more Grand Prix horses.

Heston is out of a Rituel (IMP)  mare.
Rituel was imported from Belgium as a yearling by Mary Hanna of Statene Park in Macedon, Victoria.  He was broken in by Mary and campaigned with great success as a young stallion.

He took out the prestigious Champion of Champions award at the 1999 Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships  and has excelled as he has moved up the grades. Heston's dam was out of a Dutchman (IMP / DEC)  mare.

He is well established with flying changes, having learned one per way within just one month of introduction. 4 months later, he could produce a line of 7 two time changes. He is good with counter canter, lateral work, his extended trot is mind-blowing, he has started half steps and can currently produce 3-6 steps of a baby Piaffe, passage is not far away with it occasionally appearing during collection. Heston has competed extensively at many venues, namely Boneo Park, Werribee Park, Elcho Park, Horsham, Macedon Ranges, Juravon, etc. He has also attended monthly lessons with Mary Hanna and Thomas Muehlenbeck clinics originally.

Heston is a dream to handle, good to wash, tie, shoe, truck, float, rug, worm, plait (statue). Good on fences and not a destructive personality. He remains fat on the smell of an oily rag and always boasts an enviable topline, even when on a spell. In his early career with us he was competed by my 64 year old mother at Boneo Park where he won Novice on 68.3%. He has been with us for nearly 3 years now.

For those who enjoy variety, Heston loves to jump (his full sister is jumping over a metre in baby training) and go out on the roads, bush tracks and farm tracks. He is not overly reactive to anything including dogs, wind etc. He doesn't need to be worked down or lunged prior to a ride, even at a competition or with time off. He is good to ride bareback, in a double, in a snaffle or in a halter. He possesses the right level of positive sensitivity to get the job done without being hot. Despite this though, he tends to fall behind the leg with a nervous rider so isn't what some would call the "ultimate school master", given the fact he is only 7! He requires a forward thinking rider who is motivated and switched on.

He has good feet, no vices, no scars or blemishes, no injuries, straight legs, good proportionate solid bone. Has full x-rays and vet report on hand for viewing. He is in fit full work condition and is ready to continue his competition career. He would suit a confident, ambitious rider who is looking for a horse to go to the top. Very rarely does a horse of this calibre get advertised in Australia. Get excited. This is your opportunity.
