TYINTIN PRIMA
A proven competition mare and sensational mother. Prima is an asset to our breeding program. She is strong with an old fashioned build, superb floating movement and boasts an enviable Dressage career. She won the HRCAV Advanced Championship at Yarrambat in May 2019, competed to Medium Level EA and had no issues showing off a line of 5 two time changes. Unfortunately Prima is no longer a ridden prospect due to unsoundness, however she is paddock sound and happy burn around with her friends.
SIRE
Prima is by Australian Grand Prix CDI Stallion Mayfield Pzazz (IMP) who boasted many wins throughout his career, including EV Horse of the Year 2013, wins at Advanced at 70% and Grand Prix results up to 68%.
DAM
Her dam, Star Dancer, introduces an interesting combination of Trakehner blood from:
Fred Astaire (IMP): considered an outstanding example of his breed, of lighter and more elegant conformation than some of the earlier imports. He was well known for passing on his classic Trakehner lines and traits. He was champion Warmblood stallion at many agricultural shows, and placed many times at the Royal Melbourne Show. An ideal sire for passing on size, height, substance and temperament, Fred Astaire produced horses that were suitable for dressage, show jumping and eventing.
Valuta (IMP): The Danish Trakehner, one of the first horses to compete at Grand Prix level and look comfortable and stylish. At the 1986 Australian Dressage Championships, only two of the Grand Prix horses were willing to tackle the Grand Prix Special, Judy Dierks on her Thoroughbred, Galoubet and Gert on Valuta. The pair competed for a bottle of whisky, which Judy narrowly won, but history had been made – our first Special had been ridden..
Valuta combined size and elegance with a flawless temperament and excellent movement. He won champion Warmblood stallion at the Royal Melbourne Show in 1982, 1983 and 1985, and had had many Grand Prix dressage championships to his credit.
Prima had a beautiful filly by Questing R in 2019 who is now sold and living in QLD.
